The DEWALT 60V MAX* Chainsaw features a low kick back 16" Oregon Bar and Chain for both construction and outdoor cutting applications. Its tool-free chain tensioning and bar tightening knob enable proper bar clamping force, and it features auto-oiling for continuous lubrication. It has a 60V MAX* FLEXVOLT battery that powers 60V MAX* tools or it can be backwards compatible to work with 20V MAX* tools.

Does it need oil for small jobs?
This chain saw is equipped with an auto oiling system that keeps the saw chain and guide bar constantly lubricated. To avoid risk of damage to the bar or chain, oil should always be at or above the low-level markings during operation.

What kind of oil does this chainsaw take? And is that the only thing needed to get this chainsaw going? I just recieved mine from you guys bit not to familiar with chainsaws yet
Use a high quality bar and chain oil for proper chain and bar lubrication. Other maintenance would include periodically re-tensioning the blade. Follow the instructions on page 11 of your owners manual for blade tensioning.

This model does not come with a battery. The DCCS670X1 model will come with a battery and a charger.

DeWalt doesn't list RPM's, but they do state the chain speed is 50ft/second.The largest battery available from DeWalt is the DCB612 (12aH battery).
